By designating this cabal as "demonic," I do not imply that there is need for hatred, anxiety, or hopelessness. It is simply the situation that this cabal has seized control and we need to face it and get on with the business of bringing about fundamental change in our society. On the other hand we should not simply sit about idly theorizing or smiling at the devastation of human beings in our society. Something must be done!
The purpose of this essay is to help American
and world citizens see who and what is controlling events from behind the
scenes, to assist in making clear just what kind of demonic forces are bringing
about the destruction of American and world values and institutions.
It's clear that many people are so possessed by the current
reactionary brainwashing that they will be unable to consider any of these
ideas. But people throughout the world are waking up to what is going on and
they need to see behind the curtains to the real, criminal powers that
manipulate human minds and destroy human liberties. We need to see the real face
of our enemies.
I've chosen to use the word "demonic" because it seems most descriptive of the nature of this depraved coterie that has seized power illegitimately. They are certainly criminals in that they commit outrages continually (e.g. the holacausts of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the assasination of JFK, the Iran-Contra gun-running/drug smuggling assault, the savings and loan felonies, the Vietnamese, Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq wars, 9/11, etc.). But their misdeeds are more base than that; they are evil and wicked in the truest sense and therefore are best described as demonic. 1
This essay will deal with the broader aspects of the demonic cabal, referring to the incriminating details in the material referenced below. In this essay, we'll first review how cabals have operated throughout history, seizing power and manipulating the populace. Reviewing the American experience, we'll see how a wealthy plutocracy during the American struggle for independence from Britain devolved into a criminal cabal. Next, we'll examine Plato's concept of an intelligent, beneficent elite and how this relates to our American experience. Finally, we'll explore ways in which this current demonic cabal is being overcome as its brittle strength declines to the point of defeat.
Though it is historically common for a small elite to lead any group, it is decidedly not "natural" or commendable for an elite to form into a cabal, "a group of persons secretly united to bring about an overturn or usurpation in public affairs." 2
"A cabal is a number of persons united in some close design, usually to promote their private views and interests in church or state by intrigue. Cabals are secret organizations composed of a few designing persons; a political cabal is often called a junta. The term can also be used to refer to the designs of such persons. The term also holds a general meaning of intrigue and conspiracy. Its usage carries strong connotations of shadowy corners and occult influence; a cabal is more evil and selective than, say, a faction, which is simply selfish.

"The term cabal derives from Kabbalah (which has numerous spelling variations), the mystical interpretation of the Hebrew scripture, and originally meant either an occult doctrine or a secret.
"The term took on its present insidious meaning from a group of ministers chosen in 1667 by King Charles II of England."

A cabal, then is any small criminal group
who seizes illegitimate power to benefit its members only, manipulating and
impoverishing all other people within the nation. The very foundation of the
capitalist system is based on the ideology of the cabal.

The destruction of the American mind and American institutions is now so far advanced that the demonic cabal has been able to establish a police state without the people rising up against them.
The cabal has taken great pains to avoid publicity and recognition, to the point that most people are blind to its existence. It requires advanced powers of discernment to even see its presence, so hidden has been its subversive activity. Anyone who speaks of a cabal is immediately dismissed as a paranoid conspiracy theorist, 3 lumped with extremists of all stripes, and made persona non grata in any professional field.

At present, Americans are faced with an illegal
junta which is repeating a vile era in American history: the seizure of all
governmental powers by a single party-cabal during John Adams' presidency from
1797-1801. They are following in exact detail the monopolization of power
practiced by the Federalist-Adams
dictatorship.
Having illegally seized the
presidency--with the criminal assistance of Jeb Bush and the U.S. Supreme Court
in 2000 and stealing the 2002 and 2004 elections, gaining the majority in both
houses of Congress--the puppet Bush II regime is privatizing public resources,
crippling local, state, and federal governments by spending only for militarism
(domestic and foreign), creating a huge federal debt that later generations will
have to repay, and creating tax cuts and subsidies for the rich. Criminal,
self-serving corruption runs rampant throughout the Bush II administration, as
it did in his father's Iran-Contra and Savings-and-Loan crime sprees. The legal
and moral degeneracy of the Bush junta is clearly seen in Karl Rove's outing of
a CIA agent as political payback--and Rove experiencing no negative
repercussions.
The horrible tyranny that is
being created by the Bush junta is a threat to the entire world. For the first
time in its history, Western Civilization as a whole is in danger of being
destroyed by an international, demonic cabal centered around the Rockefeller
interests, **
which include elements from the Morgan, Brown, Rothschild, Du Pont,
Harriman, Kuhn-Loeb, and other groupings as well.
This junta took control of the political, financial, and cultural life of
America in the first two decades of the twentieth century.
The Bush family, *** beginning
with Prescott Bush, have served as satraps of the Rockefeller, Brown, and
Harriman interests. President Bush is simply a puppet of this powerful cabal,
and their schemes will be carried out by whatever next president comes to power
unless we the people deflect them from this insane, murderous plot for global
dominance.
Winston Churchill was quoted by wartime
associates as making reference to the "High Cabal," the international power
elite. Since Churchill was a part of what we're referring to as the demonic
cabal, we can understand why he would use the term "high" to describe it, while
acknowledginig its existence
nonetheless.
The "Demonic Cabal" includes:
The American, British, Saudi, and Dutch ruling elites:
In the U.S. the cabal revolves around the
Rockefeller, Brown, Harriman, and Morgan family dynasties with their
"thinktanks" such as the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commision,
Bilderberg Group, and other pretentious enclaves of pseudo-intellectuals.
The cabal includes the British royal
family and the financial and political circles related to it. The current cabal
began in Britain with the The Royal Institute of International Affairs and the
Round Table group.
Major players in the demonic cabal include the
Saudi royal family and The Big Three--the bin Laden family, the al Ahmoudi
family, and the Mahfouz family--the richest clans in that medieval kingdom. The
Saudi brand of Islam is Wahabism, which enjoins its adherents to destroy all
infidels in a holy war. Most of the "Iraqi insurgents" now killing Iraqis and
American service personnel are trained in Saudi Arabia.
The current cabal includes the Dutch
royal family and related circles.

The European arm of the demonic cabal
centers in the Rothschild empire and its many tentacles reaching into all
European nations. The Rothschilds were active in financing the southern states
during the American Civil War. In the early part of the twenty-first century,
the Rothschilds have formed an international banking dynasty, with a presence in
40 countries worldwide.

A large number of financial,
military, and political leaders in America and throughout the world provide
support and cover for the demonic cabal.
The Kennedy "assassination has demonstrated that most of the major events of world significance are masterfully planned and orchestrated by an elite coterie of enormously powerful people who are not of one nation, one ethnic grouping, or one overridingly important business group. They are a power unto themselves for whom those others work. Neither is this power elite of recent origin. Its roots go deep into the past."

In 1937, William E. Dodd,
U.S. Ambassador to Germany, made this startling statement (as reported in George
Seldes. Facts and Fascism, p. 122):
"A clique of U.S. industrialists is hell-bent to bring a fascist state to supplant our democratic government. . . "
Carroll Quigley, Georgetown
University history professor (deceased), in Tragedy and Hope: A History of
the World in Our Time, 1966, made this claim:
"There does exist and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network which operates, to some extent, in the way the radical Right believes the Communists act. In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for 20 years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960s, to examine its papers and secret record."In addition to these pragmatic goals, the powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was the Bank for International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. The growth of financial capitalism made possible a centralization of world economic control and use of this power for the direct benefit of financiers and the indirect injury of all other economic groups.'' pp. 950 and 324
"There exists in our world today a powerful and dangerous secret cult. This cult is patronized and protected by the highest level government officials in the world. Its membership is composed of those in the power centers of government, industry, commerce, finance, and labor. It manipulates individuals in areas of important public influence - including the academic world and the mass media. The Secret Cult is a global fraternity of a political aristocracy whose purpose is to further the political policies of persons or agencies unknown. It acts covertly and illegally."

In his 1913 book The New
Freedom, President Woodrow Wilson stated:
"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it."
After years of studying the present
cabal, Arthur S. Miller, George Washington University law professor
asserted:

"Out of this modern civilization economic royalists carved new
dynasties. New kingdoms were built upon concentration of control over
material things. Through new uses of corporations, banks and securities,
new machinery of industry and agriculture, of labor and capital - all
undreamed of by the Fathers - the whole structure of modern life was
impressed into this royal service." |
"There was an interview on CNBC of the renowned funds manager Julian Robertson. He is one of the greatest of the old-timers. 53 years on the Street. He manages the Robertson group of funds. They used to call him, still do call him 'Never Been Wrong' Robertson. He has predicted every economic cycle, every debacle, every bull market, and every bear market. Of course, he´s a very old man now. But his reputation on the Street is like nothing you could imagine. When the segment of his interview was through, his comments alone took the Dow Jones down 50 points. Just on his comments alone. That's how powerful this man's reputation is.
"Robertson was actually a teary-eyed, an old man. When Ron Insana asked him about his predictions, he said that he´s worried about the speculative bubble in housing and the fact that more than 1/4 of all consumer spending is now sustained by that bubble, plus the fact that 20 million citizens could lose their homes in a collapse of the speculative bubble in housing, and that the Fed and, indeed, central banks worldwide would act in concert out of desperation to reinflate the global economy in the process, creating an inflationary spiral unheralded in the economic history of the planet.
"Insana then asked, "Where does it end?" And he said, "Utter global collapse." Not simply economic collapse; complete disintegration of all infrastructure and of all public structures of governments. Utter, utter collapse. That the end is collapse of simply epic proportion.
"In 10 years time, he said, whoever is still alive on the planet will be effectively starting again.
"And the comments were so negative. I´ve never heard anything like it. From a guy who was 53 years on the Street. This is Julian Robertson, the renowned Republican. And yet he blamed everything on "the Bushonian Cabal," that the Cabal has now consolidated power and money on the planet to the maximum extent possible. That the planet's net liquidity--that is, net free cash flow--is now a negative number. That the planet is not simply sinking into a sea of red ink; it is already sunk.

In the late 19th century two Italian social
theorists, Vilfredo Pareto (1848-1933) and Gaetano Mosca (1858-1941), asserted
that human beings do not organize themselves spontaneously and that things only
happen when a small group decides to act in moving the larger collection
forward. Whether it be a book club or a nation, someone has to decide what the
group will do, who will be members and who won't, when and where it will meet,
and all the other minutia that most members of a collective never suspect have
to be done. Most human beings have neither the time, the interest, nor the
opportunity to act unless led by a small elite. This point of view was later
formulated by the German sociologist Robert Michels (1876-1936) as the "Iron Law
of Oligarchy."
"Among the constant facts and tendencies that are to be found in all political organisms, one is so obvious that it is apparent to the most casual eye. In all societies-from societies that are very meagerly developed and have barely attained the dawnings of civilization, down to the most advanced and powerful societies-two classes of people appear-a class that rules and a class that is ruled. The first class, always the less numerous, peforms all political functions, monopolizes power and enjoys the advantages that power brings, whereas the second class, the more numerous, is directed and controlled by the first, in a manner that is more or less legal, now more or less arbitrary and violent."
Mosca, The Ruling Class
If we examine history with a discerning
eye, we discover that power and initiative have always been exercised by a
cohesive minority (elite) who are marked off from the mass of the population by
some particular skill, quality, or insight.
Every step in human progress--social and spiritual--has been brought about by a handful of innovators who have discovered new and more productive ways of carrying out necessary tasks. The new methods and concepts both revise and replace the older, traditional techniques and ideas. Innovators, from Socrates to Jesus to Einstein, have been perceived by traditionalists as anti-social revolutionaries.
"Universal history, the history of what man has accomplished in this world, is at bottom the history of the Great Men who have worked here. They were the leaders of men, these great ones; the modellers, patterns, and in a wide sense creators, of whatsoever the general mass of men contrive to do or attain; all things that we see standing accomplished in the world are properly the outer material result, the practical realisation and embodiment, of Thoughts that dwelt in the Great Men sent into the world: the soul of the whole world's history, it may justly be considered, were the history of these."
Thomas Carlyle, On Heroes and Hero-Worship
Along with this natural tendency in human
life for the few to become the innovators, there is the factor of status or
preeminence.
"People everywhere strive for a ghostly substance called authority, cachet, dignity, dominance, eminence, esteem, face, position, preeminence, prestige, rank, regard, repute, respect, standing, stature, or status. People go hungry, risk their lives, and exhaust their wealth in pursuit of bits of ribbon and metal. The economist Thorstein Veblen noticed that people sacrificed so many necessities of life to impress one another that they appear to be responding to a 'higher, spiritual need.'"
Stephen Pinker, How the Mind Works
"If we consider...the inner ferment that goes on within the body of every society, we see at once that the struggle for preeminence is far more conspicuous there than the struggle for existence. Competition between individuals of every social unit is focused upon higher position, wealth, authority, control of the means and instruments that enable a person to direct many human activities, many human wills, as he sees fit."
Mosca, The Ruling Class
The term "elite," then, is a neutral term,
referring to any small leadership group, whether its goals are positive or
negative relative to the larger collective it controls.
"Human society is not homogeneous, it is made up of elements which differ more or less, not only according to the very obvious characteristics such as sex, age, physical strength, health, etc., but also according to less observable, but no less important, characteristics such as intellectual qualities, morals, diligence, courage, etc.... Just as one distinguishes the rich and poor in society even though income increases gradually from the lowest to the highest, one can distinguish the elite in a society, the part which is aristocratic, in the etymological sense, and a common part.... The notion of this elite is dependent on the qualities which one seeks in it. There can be an aristocracy of saints, an aristocracy of brigands, an aristocracy of scholars, an aristocracy of thieves, etc."
Pareto, Manual of Political Economy
Plato provides the best solution
regarding the tensions between various factions in a society and how best to
order a nation to benefit all citizens. A nation, Plato recognized, can no more
be governed by "the people" than a ship at sea can be controlled by the crew or
passengers. Leadership--of a ship or a nation-state--requires special expertise
that can only be gained by knowledge and experience.
Those best able to direct the course of a society, Plato maintained, are those who are trained in the search for wisdom (philosophy) and live their lives as guardians of the people. But instead of recognizing this insight as the guide for a nation-state, throughout history a small cabal of ignorant, self-deluded pretenders has seized political-economic-social control, ignoring those who truly know how to order a society.
Plato recognized that a nation would have to be composed of extraordinarily intelligent people to put philosopher-leaders in charge of their public institutions. Nonetheless, Plato contended that only if persons seeking true wisdom (philosophers) were the guardians of society would all people prosper.
"Suppose you now take this parable [of the mutineering seamen] to the gentleman who is surprised at finding that philosophers have no honor in their cities; explain it to him and try to convince him that their having honor would be far more extraordinary. . . .
"Say to him, that, in deeming the best votaries of philosophy to be useless to the rest of the world, he is right; but also tell him to attribute their uselessness to the fault of those who will not use them, and not to themselves. The pilot should not humbly beg the sailors to be commanded by him -- that is not the order of nature; neither are 'the wise to go to the doors of the rich' -- the ingenious author of this saying told a lie -- but the truth is, that, when a man is ill, whether he be rich or poor, to the physician he must go, and he who wants to be governed, to him who is able to govern. The ruler who is good for anything ought not to beg his subjects to be ruled by him; although the present governors of mankind are of a different stamp; they may be justly compared to the mutinous sailors, and the true helmsmen to those who are called by them goodfornothings and stargazers."
As in Plato's day, so in ours: a destructive cabal has seized illegitimate power, after passing itself off as a representative democracy. Plato defined disorder in the ordinary world of tyranny as polypragmosyne, the seizing of power by those who presume they possess expertise in all things.
In
modern terms, this has been clearly illustrated in the case of the demonic
cabal, which assumes that it has the understanding of how Americans ought to
order their lives and therefore possesses the mandate to seize control of our
society. What polypragmosyne means in practice is that the unskilled and
unenlightened seize the rule of society to its detrimient and final destruction.
There is nothing more absurd than a Leo Strauss, a Henry Kissinger, a Zbibniew Brzezinski, or a Paul Wolfowitz--mandarins of the demonic cabal--pontificating on how the world ought be run. The supposedly superior groups of foreign policy advisors--Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg group--are farcical in their presumption of knowledge and understanding.
The only time in history that a group similar to Plato's philosopher-guardians was in control of the destiny of a nation was during the American revolutionary period. Not only were many of the leaders of the struggle for independence intelligent, principled men, but a large number of ordinary citizens were as well. Many of these outstanding persons were direct products of the Enlightenment in general and Plato's thought in particular.
The common people were intelligent enough to understand that freedom meant freedom from the oppression of colonial aristocracy as well as freedom from British rule. One of their favorite slogans was: "Common people must be free from all 'Foreign or Domestic Oligarchy.'" They thought in terms of liberation from all oppression, not just "independence from Britain."
During colonial times, the "common people" were sometimes in control of their local governments. To control the Boston Town Meeting, urban workers, artisans and country farmers formed an alliance in 1768. A group of Boston merchants complained: "At these meetings, the lowest Mechanicks discuss upon the most important points of government with the utmost freedom."
The "common people" were not taking orders, they
were speaking and acting for themselves; they were making it clear that their
vision of a new society was not that of the wealthy merchant class.
In Philadelphia, the working class was successful in gaining political power. In 1770, the mechanics held their first political meeting specifically restricted to their own class. By 1772, the working class had organized their own political organization, the Patriotic Society, to promote their own candidates and agenda. By mid-1776, laborers, artisans, and small tradesmen, had taken command in Philadelphia.
The Pennsylvania constitution was created primarily by farmers and artisans. As one historian describes it, "the extent of popular control" put forward by these common people "exceeds that of any American government before or since." (Kenneth M. Dolbeare. Democracy at Risk, 1986)
The Pennsylvania
Constitution of 1776 ignored women, slaves, servants and the poor, but it did
challenge property rights: all free men who paid any public taxes whatsoever
were entitled to the vote, This constitution is of major importance in American
history because it reveals that the working class had a clear vision of
government and the intelligence and resourcefulness to gain and use political
power. By contrast the later federal Constitution is clearly seen as an elitist
document which empowered the wealthy class.
The Pennsylvania Constitution was a high watermark of democratic ideals.
"A one-house Assembly whose members were elected annually was made the seat of almost all power. The Assembly was required to function in open public sessions, and to keep full records. Legislation had to indicate its purpose clearly in the preamble, and except in emergencies had to be published and distributed publicly by the Assembly before it could be considered for enactment--but only by the next session of that body, after another election had been held."The office of governor and its veto power were eliminated in favor of a weak Supreme Executive Council of 12 members, four of whom were elected each year for three-year terms. Judges were elected for seven-year terms, but were made removable for cause by the Assembly. A council of Censors was to be elected every seven years to review the government's performance and recommended a new constitutional convention if changes in its structure or powers were required. The extent of popular control involved in such a system exceeds that of any American government before or since. Indeed, opponents at the time referred to it as 'mob government.'"
During the "War for Independence," many
of the colonial states changed the form of their state constitutions to reflect
their democratic ideals. In most states there was a movement toward
subordinating the executive branch of government and conferring primary power on
the legislature. In many states, the governor was elected and in ten states his
term of office was one year. In every state there was an executive or privy
council which the governor was required to consult on all important decisions.
The purpose of such a council, usually appointed by the legislature, was to
provide an important check on the governor. In every state, judges could be
impeached by the lower branch of the legislature. In none of the states could
the courts declare the acts of the legislature null and void.
The efforts of the working class
to build widely popular governments similar to Pennsylvania's in other states
failed by and large. In Massachusetts, for example, property qualifications for
voting were increased rather than decreased. Ninety percent of the population in
Maryland was excluded from holding office because of property qualifications.
However, the Regulator Movement in 1766-1771 organized against wealthy and
corrupt officials in the colonial states and tried to get middle and lower class
people elected to their assemblies.
After the wealthy
merchant class had decided to declare its independence from Britain, it needed
cannon fodder for its "war of independence."
"Those upper classes, to rule, needed to make concessions to the middle class, without damage to their own wealth or power, at the expense of slaves, Indians, and poor whites. This bought loyalty. And to bind that loyalty with something more powerful than material advantage, the ruling group found, in the 1760s and 1770s a wonderfully useful device. That device was the language of liberty and equality, which could unite just enough whites to fight a Revolution against England, without ending either slavery or inequality."
Howard Zinn, A People's History of the United States

Civil strife due to class conflict continued throughout the war in Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. The working class was seeking what President Lincoln would later describe as a government of the people, by the people, and for the people--a commonwealth--whereas the wealthy class was seeking a plutocracy.
"[The cabal that concocted the Constitution] . . . had no wish to usher in democracy in the United States. They were not making war upon the principle of aristocracy and they had no more intention than had the Tories of destroying the tradition of upper-class leadership in the colonies. Although they hoped to turn the Tories out of office, they did not propose to open these lush pastures to the common herd. They did believe, however, that the common people, if properly bridled and reined, might be made allies in the work of freeing the colonies from British rule and that they--the gentry--might reap the benefits without interference. They expected, in other words, to achieve a 'safe and sane' revolution of gentlemen, by gentlemen, and for gentlemen."
|
But after the war Lord Fairfax, a
friend of George Washington, was allowed to retain his five million acres
encompassing twenty-one counties in Virginia.
The first American revolution resulted only in
a change in rulers: from the British elite to an American plutocracy. Sixty-nine
percent of the signers of the Declaration of Independence had held colonial
office under England.
The devolution of a
partially benevolent elite into a malignant cabal occurred when the wealthy
merchant elite grew fearful of the working class's power and made sure that
delegates to the first Continental Congress in Philadelphia in 1774 were all
members of a select cabal. They cloaked their perfidy by saying that members
were selected from the "ablest and wealthiest men in America." John Jay, later
to become the first chief justice of the Supreme Court, was elected as
president. His sentiment was a forecast of what the Constitutional cabal would
establish: "The people who own the country ought to govern it."
"We see then, that in the context of the struggle for independence,
the specific aspirations of common people put them into conflict with the
people we think of as the 'Founding Fathers' or Framers. The Sons of
Liberty, the Loyal Nine, and the Boston Committee of Correspondence and
other such groups which the Framers organized were rooted in the 'middling
interests and well-to-do merchants' and upper classes. They have been
wrongly described as revolutionary. The truth is that they took great
measures to keep the peace and defuse revolutionary tendencies. |
The American revolution was supposed to
result in the creation of a republican form of democracy, with the various
branches of government providing countervailing powers. However, the leaders of
the clandestine 1787 Constitutional Congress concocted a flawed Constitution
which made it possible for a plutocratic minority to seize all the reins of
power.
Patrick Henry refused to
attend the Constitutional Convention, and genuinely democratic patriots such as
George Mason, Luther Martin, John Francis Mercer, and Elbridge Gerry
participated in the convention but refused to sign the new constitution because
it lacked a Bill of Rights, provided inadequate representation for the people,
and did not provide for a viable separation of
powers.
George Mason said that the
president and Senate, as set up by the Constitution, would easily form "a
combination that cannot be prevented by the representatives. The executive and
legislative powers thus connected, will destroy all balances."
Thomas Jefferson was in
France at the time of the Constitutional Congress, and he only later realized
that the Federalist leaders had created a new form of tyranny by seizing all
governmental powers. The reality became clear to Jefferson, Madison, the
Democratic-Republican party, and the American people in general that the
republic was being taken over by a new cabal: the Federalist Party and its tool,
President John Adams.
"The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny."
|
The worst fears of Patrick Henry, George
Mason, and many other anti-Federalists had been realized: the Constitution
provided no viable means of making certain that the powers of government could
not be appropriated by a single faction. In terms of providing for a
government controlled by the consent of the governed, the Constitution proved to
be a failure from its very beginning.
"The Founding Fathers did lead the war for independence from Britain. But they did not do it for the equal right of all to life, liberty, and equality. Their intention was to set up a new government that would protect the property of slave owners, land speculators, merchants, and bondholders. Independence from England had already been secured in parts of the country by grassroots rebellion a year before the battles at Lexington and Concord that initiated hostilities with Britain. . . . It is one of the phenomena of modern times that revolutions are not favored unless they are led by people who are not revolutionaries at heart."
The Progressive, October 2001 |
In his book Minority Report, H. L. Mencken concluded:
"The torch of civilization is carried . . . by a small minority of restless and enterprising men. The members of this minority work in countless ways, and there is an immense variation in the nature and value of their several activities. . . What they always aim at, whether by design or only instinctively, is the improvement of human life on this earth. One of them may do no more than devise a new and better rat trap, or a new way to make beans, or a new phrase, but some other, on some near tomorrow, may synthesize edible proteins or square the circle. Out of this class come not only all the men who enrich civilization, but also all those who safeguard it. They are the guardians of what it has gained in the past as well as the begetters of all it gains today and will gain hereafter. Left to the great herd it would deteriorate inevitably, as it has deteriorated in the past whenever the supply of impatient and original men has fallen off. This is the true secret of the rise and fall of cultures. They rise so long as they produce a sufficiency of superior individuals, and they begin to fall the moment the average man approximates their best."
Because of the destruction that this current
demonic cabal has wreaked on the earth, some people reject any form of elitism
as evil. However, as we saw earlier, "human progress" has always been largely
the handiwork of a select few working against the grain of tradition.
The true benefactors of humankind have always constituted
a minority, bringing enlightenment and fulfillment to people by countering the
demonic elements within their society.
Whether we speak of Socrates inveighing against the baleful "democratic" Athenian senate, Jesus contending with the noxious Jewish and Roman tyrants, or Galileo struggling against the corrupt Roman Catholic despots, human advancement has been the gift of the few.
The progress of civilization has largely been the work of creative and conscientious men and women, forgotten by history and derided by power brokers and scholastics. Mankind's spiritual--and physical--evolution has been guided by seers such as Hermes, Plato, Jesus, Rumi, Francis of Assisi, and Shakespeare.
The Enlightenment did not penetrate the Muslim
world (except for small enclaves of Sufis), the East, and many parts of Europe.
In those cultures, people continued to suffer from tyrannical governments and
religious intolerance. The most deadening effect of their repressive dogmas and
practices was in destroying its few great innovators and thinkers, either by
silencing them, driving them out of their societies, or making it impossible for
them to develop their talents.
In any
nation where this occurs decline is inevitable.
Many of the Protestants and Jews persecuted by Spain and Portugal found refuge in England and the Netherlands, two countries which, despite their relatively small populations, achieved great innovations in thought and technology in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Britain benefited most when Catholic tyrants in Europe persecuted enterprising Jews and Protestants, bringing these victims of suppression to what they considered the land of hope and glory.
In Britain they made profound contributions in the development of the British economy, the arts, and enlightened thought in general. This is the chief cause of England's being able to establish itself as the world's leading power. In the eighteenth century, British Enlightenment leaders helped create a New World in America, providing the ideas and manpower to form a "more perfect union."
Superiority in intelligence, creativity, and leadership does not in any way insure superiority in respect to morals or character, as we see clearly in the American experience. Persons such as Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, and John Adams, who helped bring about American independence from Britain, were nonetheless willing to form a cabal to work against the interests of the common people. Even so, people such as Patrick Henry, George Mason, Luther Martin, John Francis Mercer, and Elbridge Gerry--clear products of the Enlightenment--helped America to achieve some degree of liberty and justice.
History has seen repeated instances when repressive institutions, such as the Roman Catholic Church and European and Asian tyrannies, have destroyed the minds of their populations in an effort to create a more efficient and sure way to rule. Roger Bacon and Galileo were two of the great hopes of science. In condemning and imprisoning them, the Roman Catholic and civil authorities not only silenced these great scientific minds, but also suppressed whole generations of other potential geniuses who might have otherwise followed in Bacon's and Galileo's footsteps. Because of the ignorance of the so-called "men of God" and the pretended "great leaders of nations," these societies remained scientific and cultural wastelands for an additional two hundred years after the Enlightenment had transformed many parts of Europe and the New World. The scientific revolution remained the achievement of Protestants and other free thinkers.
"So history, namely change, has been mainly due to a small number of 'seers,' --really gropers and monkeyers--whose native curiosity outran that of their fellows and led them to escape here and there from the sanctified blindness of their time."

In the twentieth and
twenty-first centuries we have seen a return to such mindless, destructive
repression of the human mind. The current demonic cabal was able to create its
power bases--such as the American Federal Reserve System--with the help of a
select elite of thinkers--such as Walter Lippmann--who were in part the
outgrowth of the Enlightenment. This is similar to the experience during the
time of the American revolution when a beneficent aristocracy--as well as
enlightened members of the general populace--brought about a new nation
dedicated to the idea of government for the benefit of all citizens.
The demonic cabal has so soundly destroyed the minds of the American population --including their own--that this is now beginning to catch up to them with a vengeance. We have only to compare the mind of a cabal mandarin such as Henry Kissinger or Paul Wolfowitz with an enlightened thinker such as Patrick Henry or Abraham Lincoln.
The policies of the demonic cabal are literally insane and suicidal. The neanderthal, reactionary leaders of the neoconservative push for world dominance lack even the most basic kind of intelligence or morality. They are--as in the case of Karl Rove--diabolically crafty and Machiavellian, but they lack the elemental human qualities of compassion, justice, and benevolence. Such sub-humans cannot remain in power for an extended period, for their avarice and corruption eventually outrun their ability to understand reality.
From the beginning of human history, as
we've seen, nations have been ruled by small groups. Unscrupulous persons
discovered that one of the easiest ways to rule a country was to make the people
think that they, the people, were ruling, when in fact a small cabal was
controlling all poltical and economic events for their own interests.
Few such rulers have been forthright enough to admit that they were using the myth of democracy (rule of the people for the people) to institute and perpetuate an elite form of government. One such ruler who spoke in straightforward terms was William Penn (1644-1718), the English religious leader and founder of the colony of Pennsylvania. In his book Some Fruits of Solitude (1693), he said that the way for an elite to rule was to:
"Let the people think they govern and they will be governed."
"Talk democracy to these men and women. I tell them that they have the vote, and that theirs is the kingdom and the power and the glory. I say to them 'You are supreme: exercise your power.' They say, 'That's right: tell us what to do'; and I tell them. I say 'Exercise your vote intelligently by voting for me.' And they do. That's democracy; and a splendid thing it is too for putting the right men in the right place."
Boanerges, in The Apple Cart, act 1 |
One of the reasons why ignorant and ill-intentioned thinkers have attacked Plato, is because he was forthright enough to reveal the reality of democracy--that it is in actuality the manipulation of the masses by an elite who fools the common people into thinking they are ruling when they aren't.
"These will be some of the features of democracy. . . it will be, in all likelihood, an agreeable, lawless, parti-colored society, dealing with all alike on a footing of equality, whether they be really equal or not."
Plato, The Commonwealth
Plato had seen this form of swindle practiced on the citizens of Athens, and had seen the deadly results of such a fraud when a pseudo-democratic group sentenced his teacher and friend Socrates to death on trumped-up charges.

Plato understood that a society must have either of two basic forms of government:
One of Plato's
major works was entitled Politeia (πoλιτεια), the Greek word for
Commonwealth. The title of this work has been mistranslated as The
Republic when its actual title is The Commonwealth.
Plato saw clearly that the swindle called democracy quickly degenerates into tyranny--as we have seen throughout American history. The current demonic cabal is simply the most recent embodiment of this swindle. You can see this most clearly both domestically and abroad:
Bush and other junta members use the word "democracy" as a shibboleth to fool the ignorant American masses, pretending that they are spreading this magic form of government to as many nations as possible. "Democracy" has now become the mask for tyranny and imperialism.
As Howard Zinn has shown in A People's History of the United States,
"The American system is the most ingenious system of control in world history. With a country so rich in natural resources, talent, and labor power the system can afford to distribute just enough to just enough people to limit discontent to a troublesome minority. It is a country so powerful, so big, so pleasing to so many of its citizens that it can afford to give freedom of dissent to the small number who are not pleased. How wise to turn the fear and anger of the majority toward a class of criminals bred - by economic inequity - faster than they can be put away, deflecting attention from the huge thefts of national resources carried out within the law by men in executive offices."
" The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter."

We saw in an earlier
essay that though ordinary humans are rapidly losing the ability to
understand reality, a small contemporary group is accessing supernormal
knowledge through portals into Higher Consciousness. These are the true
representatives of Plato's vision of philosopher-leaders. They are making
knowledge available about what is actually going on in the world--beyond what
the demonic cabal media lies say is going on.
And, of critical importance, they are preserving higher knowledge in books and Web sites which will be available when conditions have degenerated to the point where a rudely awakened mass of people will suddenly say: "How can we get out of this intolerable situation? What knowledge do we need to re-build a sane and progressive world?"
These supra-humans have
undergone a spiritual transformation through initiation into a Higher
Consciousness and are harbingers of the evolutionary Supra-Human. The foundation
of this transformational knowledge lies with what is called the Perennial
Tradition. These savants are now laying the foundation for a new culture which
will follow the current Dark Ages brought on by the demonic cabal.
After humankind had degenerated during the Dark Ages, Perennialist teachers made available to the West the teachings which spurred Renaissance literature and art, science, and the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment provided the impulse which brought about the American revolution and its transformative documents, the Declaration of Independence, the Preamble to the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.
These and the additional embodiments of the Perennial tradition--the Hermetic, Platonic, and Esoteric Christian, among others--have inspired humankind ever since and today give proof to people worldwide that a New World is being realized in an invisible way and is overcoming the demonic cabal.
