WASHINGTON, 9/18 --
September 17, 2008, the 221st anniversary of the U.S. Constitution,
thousands of Americans gathered in
DC to begin to
"Hunger for Redress."
They began their mass hunger strike to draw
worldwide attention to the fact that the Government
of the United States of America has not only been
flagrantly violating its own Constitution, it now
refuses to respond or even acknowledge the People's Petitions for Redress of these Grievances despite the fact the Constitution requires the Government to do so:
