Is Obama a U.S. citizen?

Many are questioning his eligibility to be president.

Eligibility lawyer argues for president's deportation
Berg seeks proper treatment for 'illegal alien'

 2009 WorldNetDaily

A Democrat who served as deputy attorney general in Pennsylvania and now is leading a number of lawsuits over the eligibility of President Barack Obama to occupy the Oval Office has told radio talk show host Michael Savage that not only is Obama not eligible to be president, he's probably an illegal alien and should be deported.

"If it's true what I am alleging, that he's an illegal alien [Obama] should be arrested and deported," Berg said this week during an interview on the "Savage Nation" program.

Berg has been a leader among attorneys across the nation bringing dozens of claims against Obama over the status of his citizenship. Berg is convinced Obama was born in Kenya to a minor mother, a U.S. citizen, and a Kenyan father who was subject to British rule at the time.

The U.S. Constitution, meanwhile, demands that occupants of the White House qualify as "natural born" citizens.

WND has reported on multiple legal challenges to Obama's status as a "natural born citizen." While representatives for Obama has called such claims "garbage," the Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.

Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

Where's the proof Barack Obama was born in the U.S. or that he fulfills the "natural-born American" clause in the Constitution? If you still want to see it, join more than 270,000 others and sign up now!

Several of the cases have involved emergency appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court in which justices have declined to hear arguments. Among those turned down without a hearing at the high court have been petitions by Berg, Cort Wrotnowski, Leo Donofrio and Orly Taitz.

WND reported earlier this week that Taitz is assembling a new legal challenge with at least two active-duty members of the U.S. military both serving in Iraq who have agreed to be plaintiffs.

According to an archive, Savage said he had not scheduled the issue of questions about Obama's eligibility on his program much because the election was over.

However, he said he became angry when a mainstream reporter held up a copy of an Internet-posted "Certification of Live Birth" publicized by Obama's campaign as proof of his Hawaiian birth.

Berg explained people shouldn't misunderstand.

"It's a copy of a certification of live birth, which Obama's people put on their website in June of 2008," he said. "It's been documented by our experts to have been altered. It's a fraud. It's a phony document."

Berg noted the hundreds of thousands of concerned Americans who have signed WND's petition seeking the truth about Obama's birth.

"There are million of supporters we have," he said, citing his own " website. "We are going to continue until we expose Obama. He's a total fraud. He's a phony, This is the biggest fraud ever in the United States."

Berg said he's convinced that Obama actually is a citizen of Indonesia, a nation where Obama lived as a child with his mother and stepfather, and where he attended school.

Berg explained he's been a solid Democrat all his life, but he's pursuing the case on behalf of the 300 million Americans subject to Obama's presidency, and the thousands of soldiers who have fought and died for American freedoms.

Savage noted that even if the legal challenges are stymied, "this is going to percolate for years now."

Obama campaign officials earlier told WND the allegations are garbage, but here is a partial listing and status update for some of the cases over Obama's eligibility:

In addition, other cases cited on the RightSideofLife blog as raising questions about Obama's eligibility include:

WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi had gone to both Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions, the biggest being why, if there exists documentation of Obama's eligibility, hasn't it been released to quell the rumors.

Instead, a series of law firms have been hired on Obama's behalf around the nation to prevent any public access to his birth certificate, passport records, college records and other documents.
