Those 3 books were only published in English, in early
1980's.

Wolfgang, I recommend you to read the last two chapters
from
"Inside the
Soviet Army" ("The Soldier's Lot" and "The Officer's
Path").
They are really excellent. They describe the real,
horrible life in the Soviet
army.
Those 3 books were not published in Russian - probably
because they are
too harsh.
